Tractor Trailer Rollover Recovery on Highway 164

Trailer Carrying 80,000 lbs of Flour REquires Tractor Trailer Rollover Recovery

Jones Brothers recently answered the call of duty to perform a daunting tractor trailer rollover recovery on Highway 164 along Newstead Road in Hopkinsville, KY. And this wasn’t your ordinary wreck, oh no! This vehicle was loaded with a whopping 80,000 lbs of flour, pushing it to its maximum weight capacity.

Fear not though, for the Jones Brothers were up to the challenge! With their top-of-the-line equipment and expert knowledge, they sent a team of four to the scene, along with two different trucks, a small rollback, and a service truck for cleanup. These guys were ready for anything!

Upon arriving at the site, the team was faced with a tricky situation. They had to rig straps to lift the trailer slightly and get straps underneath and over the top to flip it over on its wheels. To handle the weight of the truck and trailer, the team utilized their 88-ton Kenworth wrecker and their 35-ton Peterbilt wrecker, working together in perfect harmony.

Unfortunately, the vehicle sustained significant damage down the side of the trailer and truck, rendering it inoperable. The tractor trailer rollover recovery team towed the vehicle to their lot for repairs, where it will be restored to its former glory.

With only four team members, they were able to complete the task in less than five hours, and in the rain, no less! Amazing work done by the heavy duty towing team!
